As we are now anxiously awaiting a return to \u201cnormalcy\u201d, many of us have begun to realize that this may very well be the \u201cnew normal\u201d at least after the Fall of 2020 or until a vaccination for COVID-19 is approved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

However, here\u2019s a new way to look at life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy the Extra Time.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From a personal perspective, many people are forced to get more creative while being housebound – family time now involves more backyard activities, board games, movie nights, gourmet dinners and sometimes just conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On a business level, business owners can take this time to think about & streamline their business and spend more time re-inventing & marketing their business in order to reflect the changes and new business demands created as a result of the pandemic as well as anticipating the needs of clients moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Relationships are Changing.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

At home, we are all learning more about each other and our interests and relationship needs.\u00a0 Our children are receiving extra attention from their parents (& siblings), whether they wanted it or not!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Those of us working from home for the first time now have a chance to let the boss know our true value and stand out from the office crowd.\u00a0While not perfect, we still have the opportunity to work as a team with colleagues via zoom & telephone conferences which is both valued and appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Health & Nutrition.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

During the day, it\u2019s great to be able to plan out a healthy lunch and eat \u201cfast fridge fresh\u201d vs Fast food takeout. Putting something together from scratch gives us a little something to look forward, feel better about our choices and gives us much needed \u201cbreak\u201d from the home office scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional Savings.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As many are no longer driving to the office, we are no longer filling up at the pumps.\u00a0 Even when we do need gas, the cost of a fill up is waaaay lower than it used to be!\u00a0 You gotta be happy about that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since we\u2019ve been confined to a life that\u2019s basically been house-bound, there are fewer stores & restaurants tempting our well-earned dollars away from us!\u00a0 And retailers are offering some great online savings \u2013 might be a good time to start thinking about putting some dollars away for a little Holiday shopping too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emotional Health<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

If we are not waking up early and rushing out the door, to head out to a world full of traffic to get to the office, we should be able to be at our home offices in a timely & unrushed and well-rested manner.\u00a0 For those still heading out to the office, far less traffic makes for easier commutes daily regardless of time of day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we stay at home, isn\u2019t it nice to feel that our families are safe & healthy and together?\u00a0 Take advantage of this time with spouses, kids, partners and family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

With all of these new life \u201cadaptations\u201d and experiences that are changing the way we live, work & play every day, let\u2019s take a moment to be grateful that we still have each other, and that our resilience and dedication to our families and jobs have remained (for the most part) intact.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This is what matters.
